| Description |
Paper reviewing the methods and estimates from four approaches to assessing the burden of disease, expressed in terms of mortality, illness (incidence) and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs). A case study for India is also described. Results indicated that nearly 2 million deaths and around 4% of the burden of disease (as lost DALYs) could be attributed to indoor air pollution in developing countries.
